Why You Should Visit Vail, Colorado

The Vail resort can be found on the west of Denver, and is scenic, beautifully weathered, and bombarded with many great restaurants that offer you much delicious food. Not even mentioning their ever-famous skiing spot, which is considered as the third largest ski mountain in North America! History 

The town of Vail was officially incorporated in 1966 and it has a rich history. In World War II, the Army 10th Mountain Division trained in these mountains developed rugged skiers and mountaineers such as Pete Seibert. While Pete was still working at Loveland, he scouted out the slopes of Vail with Earl Eaton, a native Colorado and began developing a ski area with him.  

 

Skiing 

The vail mountain can cover over 500 acres, which is considered to be the third-largest ski mountain in North America and the second-largest in the whole United States. It is surrounded by 350, 000 acres of national forest which you can enjoy looking at.  

 

The mountain offers a wide variation of trails that can fit different types of skiers. They have wide-open moguls which can be found in the three areas of Front-Side, Back Bowls, and the Blue Sky Basin. This is why a lot of skiers do not miss the chance to experience or experience again what it has to offer. There is a total of 200 trails that are perfect for beginner and intermediate skiers, while half of the trails are ideal for more experienced skiers.  

 

Food 

Of course, travel will not be complete without food. Vail offers you a range of options that will satisfy any foodies out there. You can enjoy the fair at their famous Blue Moose Pizza or at the Game Creek Restaurant, which offers you an ultimate gourmet dining experience. You can even set on a mountain and watch the views of the Game Creek Bowl.
